The mixing vessel (1) has two supply lines (6a, 6b) for substances to be mixed. It is located inside a fluid line (5) and has a mixture outlet opening (1a) remote from the supply lines. The reactor (1) is combined with an arrangement in which the mixture is used, all occupying a common space. In a development based on the arrangement described, the main fluid line (5) includes a bypass (8) in which the mixing vessel (1) is located. In the branches to the bypass, 3/2-way valves (7a, 7b) are included.
