<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell that can steadily discharge the air introduced in the cooling medium passage, having an excellent cooling function with a simple structure. <P>SOLUTION: A cooling medium inlet communicating hole 22a and a cooling medium outlet communicating hole 22b are provided at both ends in horizontal direction corresponding to nearly central part in vertical direction of a first metal plate and a second metal plate 14, 16 constituting a metal separator 13. The cooling medium inlet communicating hole 22a and the cooling medium outlet communicating hole 22b are communicated to a cooling medium passage 42, and an air vent communicating hole 25 is formed in laminating direction at the upper side of the cooling medium outlet communicating hole 22b, positioned further above the uppermost part of the cooling medium passage 42. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
