<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately obtain toner consumption for every toner image forming operation, in an image forming apparatus wherein a toner image forming operation is made variable according to an operation signal transmitted from a controller to an image forming means. <P>SOLUTION: Corresponding to information on an image forming condition included in a printing command signal from a main controller 11, the toner consumption other than the toner consumption used for a normal toner image is stored as an offset value in a memory 127, and in the CPU 124, the offset value corresponding to the information on the image forming condition included in the printing command signal from the main controller 11 is extracted from the memory 127.
