<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a submarine cable having a simple, light, and slim structure which is less affected by twisting even when tensile force acts on it. <P>SOLUTION: An outer package body 16 with outer package wires 18 twisted in a reverse direction to the intertwisting direction of the cable cores 10 and the twisted reinforcement wires 12 is fitted to the outer periphery of a linear aggregate 14 formed by intertwisting three cable cores 10 and three twisted reinforcement wires 12 in one direction, and it is constructed so that the twisting torque acting on the linear aggregate 14 and the outer package body 16 are cancel each other to maintain a torque balance by setting a intertwining angle of the cable cores 10 and the twisted reinforcement wires 12 of the linear aggregate larger than a intertwining angle of the outer package wire 18 of the outer packaged body 16. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
