PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic mail server device by which a cliant can immediately be informed of a transmission result on a destination sucessful in transmission without increasing the number of message times of the transmission result, and to provide a program therefor. SOLUTION: When a mail server receives an instruction for transmitting an electronic mail whose transmission destination and transmission time are designated from a client personal computer, the mail server stores the electronic mail, the transmission destination and transmission time (step 101). When it becomes transmission time that the client designates, the mail server transfers the received electronic mail to a plurality of the destinations and stores the transmission result (steps 102, 103 and 104). Transmission result notices on only the normally transferred destinations are transmitted to the client personal computer (step 105). The notice on the destination to which transfer is failed is re-transmitted (step 107), and the transmission result on the destination to which the notice is re-transmitted is transmitted to the client personal computer (step 108).
