PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device capable of realizing a rapid fixing start-up and preventing the occurrence of a satin image thereby improving the image quality. SOLUTION: A fixing belt 51 that is heated with a heat roll 52 is brought into pressure contact with a pressure roller 57 by a pressing member 56. The fixing belt 51 has an elastic layer.
