PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the support base of a column wherein a new function for growing plants or small fish is added to a support base to contribute to the improvement of a fine sight and the improvement of advertising effects. SOLUTION: A column support cylinder 6 for holding a column 5 whose lower edge part is inserted in an erected state is erected inside a support base main body 2 formed in a container whose upper face is opened, and a reinforcement rib for a support cylinder 6 is arranged inside the support base main body 2, and soil or water is packed in the internal space of the support base main body 2 divided into a plurality of sections by the reinforcement rib so that weight necessary for supporting the column 5 can be secured.
