PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the car height of a traveling machine body above the ground, to simplify the structure and to reduce the weight. SOLUTION: This traveling lawn mower comprises a traveling machine body 1 supported with a pair of front wheels 2a and 2b and rear wheels 3a and 3b and equipped with a steering wheel 5 and a maneuvering seat 6 and a rotary mower 18 provided with rotating mowing blades 22a and 22b and a discharge duct 32 for cut lawn grass. The rotary mower is composed by liftably and lowerably mounting the rotary mower in a site between the front wheels and the rear wheels in the traveling machine body. Furthermore, the traveling machine body is composed of a pair of left and right side frames 1a and 1b and the discharge duct 32 is arranged between both the side frames. Bracket members 9a and 9b extending in the vertical directions are fixed to outer lateral faces at the rear of both the side frames.
