Disclosed is a machine (2) comprising a rotor (5) that is rotatable about an axis of rotation (A) and an especially superconducting coil (10) which is to be chilled to a low temperature and is enveloped by a fixing means (12) that is provided with a bandage (13). The outer contour of said bandage (13, 15) of the fixing means (12) increases from a smaller external diameter (D1, D1 ) to a larger external diameter (D2) in the axial direction, the bandage (13, 15) being surrounded in a positive manner by several securing rings (14i) which are arranged one behind another and the internal diameter of which is adapted to the respective external diameter of the outer contour.
