摘要 The identification of objects such as refuse bins is made using a vehicle that has a controller using a three dimensional sensor , i.e. a 3D-CMOS sensor chip. This provides input to the controller which is connected to a robot manipulator arm that moves to grip the bin and empty the contents into the refuse collection vehicle. The manipulator arm may also be controlled manually using a joystick.
