<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive roll-shaped printer paper with a high security level capable of using only a roll paper matched with a printer. <P>SOLUTION: When the printer paper 11 is used by setting it to the printer 8, it is judged whether both the printer paper 11 and the printer 8 are in correspondence relation or not by scanning and reading an information code 14 on the end face by a photo-sensor 30 during rotation of a paper tube 13 and by scanning and reading an information code 42 of the roll paper 12 by a photo-sensor 40. When they are in correspondence relation, a standard roll paper is wound around the paper tube 13.
