METHOD FOR DETERMINING OPTIMAL ANTISENSE SEQUENCE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new method for predicting an optimal antisense sequence based on a higher-order structure which mRNA has originally in the cell and to provide a method for producing the antisense oligonucleotide by utilizing the new method.

SOLUTION: The method for determining an antisense sequence to a target gene comprises repeating a step for selecting RNA hybridized with mRNA or cRNA of a target gene under conditions which are substantially equivalent to intercellular conditions from an RNA pool having random sequence and selecting RNA hybridizing with the mRNA or cRNA under the above conditions from the selected RNA.
