<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a press position detector capable of detecting, with a simple constitution, in which area of a two-dimensional plane other than a straight line, for example a circular area, a press point is located. <P>SOLUTION: The detector is provided with an disk-like flexible insulator 10 having a resistance film 15 formed on one side thereof and a conductor 20 which is disposed opposite to and spaced from the insulator. The resistance film 15 has a slit 17 (insulating area) formed to provide a pair of electrodes 3a and 3b, and output voltage is obtained from the conductor. Thus the press position detector is provided which is capable of detecting, with a simple constitution, in which area of a two-dimensional plane on an area other than a straight line, for example a circular area, a press point is located. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
