<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a surface board for an elevator operation device easily producible at low cost while realizing various decorative properties. <P>SOLUTION: A fixture tool 2 is mounted on the reverse side of a base plate 1, built-in equipment for the elevator operation device is installed through the fixture tool 2, and a surface plate 4 consisting of a synthetic resin-made transparent plate is mounted on the surface of the base plate 1. A decorative layer 5 expressing a metallic texture, proper decorative pattern or like is arranged on the reverse side of the surface plate 4. According to this, surface boards with diversified surface forms having the metallic texture, proper decorative pattern or the like by the decorative layer 5 arranged on the reverse side of the surface plate 4 can be easily produced in response to production designations of various surface plates.
