<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a long-length carbon nanotube (CNT) fiber excellent in electron emission properties and mechanical strength, to provide a CNT aggregate with desired dimensions in which the CNT fibers are sufficiently entangled, and to provide a CNT setting device in which the CNT aggregate is set. <P>SOLUTION: The aggregate is formed in such a manner that a plurality of fibers are entangled and integrated, and has dense regions in which the fibers are densely entangled, and sparse regions in which the fibers are sparsely entangled. Further, the volume density per cubic of 2μm a side in the dense regions is≥1/5. Also, the volume density per cubic of 2μm a side in the sparse regions is≤1/100. Further, both of the dense regions and sparse regions are present in an optionally partitioned rectangul with a side of 100μm. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
