<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a personal identification device for a vehicle easily mountable, enlarging the utilization of personal identification information or the like, and improving operability or convenience. <P>SOLUTION: The personal identification device comprises a removable information obtaining part 110 provided at a position of a room mirror in the vehicle or mounted on the room mirror, for obtaining image information of an iris, and a control part 120 for performing personal identification based on the image information of the iris obtained by the removable information obtaining part. The removable information obtaining part 110 has a mirror 112 forming partly a half mirror and, an iris camera 113 for obtaining the image information of the iris.
