<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To resolve problems that an ally identifying apparatus other than a radar apparatus is required to conduct ally identification for objects having approximately the same size and shape and that in a phased-array radar apparatus an interrogation signal cannot be accurately transmitted to an object, because an antenna for ally identification conducts beam scanning also. <P>SOLUTION: The radar apparatus is provided with an antenna for transmitting/receiving a signal, a decompression pulse generating means which conducts phase code modulation when transmitting a signal, a pulse compressing means which conducts pulse compression against a received signal, and it is characterised by having an ally identification code applying means which modulates an identification code for ally identification by embedding in a decompression pulse when tracking an object. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
