PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide technology capable of shortening generation time of a transparent image while enhancing image quality of the transparent image. SOLUTION: Pieces of image data about image layers A, B include a plurality of pieces of pixel data, respectively and are inputted in an MUX (multiplexer) 2. The MUX 2 selects and outputs the pixel data in either of the image layers A, B. A control circuit 3 controls selection of the pixel data in the MUX 2 by unit of pixel. The pixel data selected by the MUX 2 are inputted in a display part 5 and the display part 5 displays the transparent image based on the pixel data. Thus, since output of the pieces of pixel data about the respective image layers A, B is switched by unit of pixel, flicker of a picture of the transparent image is reduced. Furthermore, since original data of the transparent image are generated by selecting the pixel data by the MUX 2, the generation time of the transparent image is shortened.
