PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device for enhancing operability in the case of performing scroll, magnification/reduction of a display picture. SOLUTION: An acceleration sensor 25 detects moving direction and moving quantity of a cellular phone 2. When the cellular phone 2 is moved in the up, down, left, right and oblique directions, a CPU 20 performs control so as to scroll the display picture of an LCD (liquid crystal display) 15 in up, down, left, right and oblique directions according to the moving quantity, when the cellular phone 2 is moved to the front, to magnify the display picture and when the cellular phone 2 is moved to the rear, to reduce the display screen. When the cellular phone 2 stands still, the acceleration sensor 25 sets a stationary position as a reference point for detecting the moving direction and the moving quantity.
