PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a display device in which deterioration of image quality such as a ghost, blurring, blotting and the like is effectively reduced or prevented. SOLUTION: In a display device which produces image display by using a light valve to modulate a transmitted state or a reflected state of light with an electric signal, the light valves 13, 14, 15 have terminal structures directly connected to a light valve control substrate 11 which outputs a signal to the light valves.
