PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device having a cleaning member that exhibits satisfactory, steady cleaning performance. SOLUTION: A cleaning roller 25 is constructed by forming spiral grooves 27 in the peripheral face of a roller main body 26 from the middle C of the main body 26 outward in the directions of both its ends. The cleaning roller 25 rotates in pressure contact with the pressure roller (not shown) of the fixing device. Offset toner removed from the surface of the pressure roller by the cleaning roller 25 is guided toward one of the ends of the cleaning roller along the spiral groove 27.
