PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical cable in which location of a fixing material that is intermittently filled into an optical cable can be identified from the outside. SOLUTION: An optical fiber 3 is stored in a cylindrical internal gap 7 made by arranging and forming two tapes 5a and 5b in an opposing manner. The tapes 5a and 5b are bent in an approximately semi-circular shape. The fiber 3 is fixed by injecting an intermittently fixing material with a prescribed interval. In the vicinity of the center section of the two forming tapes 5a and 5b, high-tensile bodies 11a and 11b are arranged. In the vicinity of the joint sections of the tapes, rip cords 13a and 13b are arranged for ripping and these members are covered by batch sheathing. A printed section 17 is provided at the position on a sheath 9 surface corresponding to the location where the intermittently fixing material is filled and a printed seal is pasted onto the section 17 to indicate the location where the material is filled.
