PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a boring machine capable of freely adjusting an excavation velocity of a bedrock and a moving velocity of an excavated earth and sand and efficiently excavating the bedrock when an element such as a steel pipe or the like is embedded. SOLUTION: A cutter head 20 excavating the bedrock is rotatably provided to the front end section of a boring machine body 10 by a first driving device 21, a screw conveyor 30 moving the excavated earth and sand backward by the cutter head 20 is rotatably provided to the inside of the boring machine body 10, the screw conveyor 30 is rotationally driven by a second driving device 31 different from the first driving device 21 and, at the same time, the screw conveyor 30 is so placed that the cutter head 20 is approximately parallel with the axial center.
