PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a locking device eliminating any wiring work and minimizing the consumption of a battery at a low cost. SOLUTION: An auxiliary lock 1 is so constituted that the auxiliary lock 1 is provided at doors 2A and 2B to be opened and closed by a double sliding system. The auxiliary lock 1 includes a locking plate 7, a control plate 5, a helical spring 10, a permanent magnet 11, a coil 12 and a micro-computer 13. A locking member is constituted of the locking plate 7 and a control plate 5, the permanent magnet 11 constitutes a maintaining means, the coil 12 constitutes a releasing means, and the helical spring 10 constitutes the releasing means. A sub-controller S capable of being operated by the battery 17 is provided to the auxiliary lock 1, and a transmittable and receivable radio communicating function is provided to the sub-controller S and a main controller 21. The sub-controller S intermittently receives a locking instruction transmitted from the main controller 21, and the sub-controller S receiving the locking instruction locks the auxiliary lock 1.
