An antenna assembly (20) for a communication device (21) includes an antenna (22) and a tuning circuit (32). The tuning circuit includes a network of impedance elements (42, 44, 52, 54), which are coupled to load the antenna with a complex impedance such that the antenna assembly has first and second resonant frequencies in distinct first and second bands. At least one switch (56) is coupled to switch a configuration of the impedance elements so as to vary the impedance of the network, thus tuning the first and second resonant frequencies simultaneously.
