<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide print results with correct intervals between copies within collated documents. <P>SOLUTION: When a print mode in which a spool file manager 304 outputs a plurality of logical pages on one recording medium is designated, the logical pages within documents are compared with one another as to their drawing information; when the documents are determined to be collated documents that are to be printed in a plurality of copies, the logical pages within the documents spooled to a spool file 303 are compared with one another as to their drawing information to determine the number of pages which serves as the interval between copy units.
