<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing system allowing acquisition of a proper print result by separately additionally printing a page with a layout by a proper reduction rate to prevent crushing or the like of a character string inside the specific page caused by an excessively low reduction rate in reduction layout printing. <P>SOLUTION: When a character has a size smaller than a size designated in the reduction layout printing by designating a print auxiliary mode or a minimum character size, a mode is changed into a normal layout mode or a mode having a reduction rate higher than the designated reduction layout about the page, and the printing is separately executed in addition to a print result of the designated reduction layout mode.
