<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which a plurality of people can substantially use at the same time. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus main body 200 for forming an image has a plurality of separated image reading apparatuses 100. A user uses one of the image reading apparatuses 100 to remotely apply image read processing to an original and transmits image data to the image forming apparatus main body 200 by using a wireless means or the like. The image forming apparatus main body 200 receives the image data and allows an image forming unit 230 to form an image through parallel processing via an image memory 220 under the control of a parallel control section 210. Paper sheets on which images are formed are sorted and discharged to each sorter tray 250 from a paper discharge mechanism 240. A user obtains paper on which the image is formed sorted in the sorter tray 250 corresponding to the image reading apparatus used by the user. Each image reading apparatus is a board-shaped scanner with a low profile without a mechanical drive part provided with a light emitting layer, a liquid crystal slit layer, a light receiving element layer, and an output interface. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
