<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of enhancing image quality by suppressing unevenness in the density of an image. <P>SOLUTION: An LED array control section 34 performing driving control of an LED print head 7 comprises a section 35 for storing characteristics data consisting of the quantity of light data of respective LED elements constituting an LED array 31, data concerning to a beam and resolution data, an emission time correction data operating section 39, an image signal processing section 42, a control signal generating section 43, and an image data correction operating section 44. The emission time correction data operating section 39 reads out the characteristics data stored in the characteristics data storing section 35 and calculates emission time correction data T according to an operational expression. The image data correction operating section 44 corrects image data delivered from the image signal processing section 42 using the emission time correction data T delivered from the emission time correction data operating section 39.
