PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus which summarizes a prescribed amount of pages of received data to page data of one-page and performs recording output. SOLUTION: In the image processing apparatus, when recording output is performed on a recording paper with an image output part after received data wherein page configuration is performed are stored once in a data storage part, a page number to be summarized into one page is set as a set summarizing page number in advance. When the total number of pages of the received data stored in the data storage part exceeds the set number of pages for summarizing (step S101), data of pages of the received data which exceed the set number of summarizing are collected to page data of 1 page for every set number of summarizing, and page data collected in 1 page are recorded and output to 1 sheet of recording paper (step S102).
