PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize high quality image data to be printed by suppressing unevenness of toner fixing density when fixing toner image as to a fixing device and a printing device which melt the toner image transferred on a printing medium by light emission of flash lamp and fix the image on the medium when printing image data on the medium. SOLUTION: In a fixing device 20 or a printing device 50 which melts the toner image transferred on the medium using toner of at least one color by the light emission by a flash lamp 1 and fixing the image on the medium in accordance with the image data to be printed on the medium which is conveyed along a prescribed route, the coefficient of linear expansion of the trigger wire attached to flash lamp 1 in order to prompt the light emission of the lamp 1 is selected to be roughly equal to that of material which constitutes the lamp 1 or the material constituting the wire is selected to be the same as that of the lamp 1.
