PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator having a low cost defrosting heater composition where the required heating value is obtained when a radiation heater is used for defrosting the refrigerator using a combustible refrigerant, there is no danger of ignition of the combustible refrigerant, and the assembling process is safe and efficient. SOLUTION: The refrigerator consists of a cooler 8 held with an end plate 15 which is disposed in a heat insulated case body 1 forming a storage chamber, and provided with a refrigerant pipe 12 and a cooling fin 13 at the both sides, a refrigeration cycle which connects the cooler, a compressor, a condenser, and a throttle device or the like in a troidal shape, and is filled with the combustible refrigerant, the plurality of radiation heaters 16 for defrosting which are disposed in parallel between the end plates at the lower part of the cooler, and a heater cover 23 covering the upper part of the radiation heater disposed between the lower end of the cooling fin and the heater.
