PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize travel control matching with driver's sense by determining whether a preceding vehicle leaves a cruising lane or not securely. SOLUTION: An image processor 12 calculates lateral displacement amount E and lateral displacement speed v of the preceding vehicle based on image data ahead of own vehicle photographed by a camera 11. The tendency of leaving a cruising lane of the preceding vehicle is determined based on the calculated lateral displacement amount E and lateral displacement speed v of the preceding vehicle (step S5).
