WATER HOLDING KNITTED FABRIC

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a repetitively usable water holding knitted fabric having excellent water absorptivity and washing drying properties and having a dry and comfortable sense (a dry feeling). SOLUTION: The water holding knitted fabric comprises hydrophobic fibers and hydrophilic fibers. The knitted fabric is characterized as follows. The course density ratio of the face side and back side of the knitted fabric is (2:1) to (12:1) and the face side of the knitted fabric has an uneven feeling. Furthermore, the weight ratio of the hydrophobic fibers to the hydrophilic fibers accounting for the whole knitted fabric is (25:75) to (75:25) wt.%. The pore volume ratio of the knitted fabric is≤90%. The dried water content after drying under the environment at 20°C room temperature and 65% humidity for 120 min. drying is preferably≤10%.
