PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game machine for detecting a game ball surely and with good accuracy by an optical detecting means mounted on a take-in device. SOLUTION: This game machine is provided with a take-in device for sequentially taking in game balls stored in a storing part and detecting take-in of the game ball at every time, wherein a game is started on condition that take-in of the game ball is detected by the take-in device. The take-in device is provided with a game ball passage 167 formed in the direction of gravity drop of the game ball to pass the game balls in a line and a gate piece 175 for permitting or inhibiting take-in of the game ball through the game ball passage.
