PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rice cooker by which stable heating characteristic is obtained by eliminating an error in a distance relation between an inner pot and an induction coil by simple constitution in the rice cooker of an induction heating system for performing induction heating of an object to be heated housed in the inner pot attachable to and detachable from an outer pot by the induction coil. SOLUTION: The rice cooker is provided with the inner pot 6 for housing an object to be cooked, the outer pot 2 for housing the inner pot 6, the induction coil 3 provided outside the bottom surface of the outer pot 2, and a current circuit 16 for supplying current which generates an alternate magnetic field at the induction coil 3. By induction heating of the inner pot 6 by the coil 3, the object to be cooked housed in the inner pot 6 is cooked. The inner pot 6 is housed in the outer pot 2 in a state where the inner pot 6 is in contact with at least a part of the inner bottom surface of the outer pot 2. For example, it is preferable that a projecting protrusion 7 is formed on the inner bottom surface of the outer pot 2 to house the inner pot 6 in the outer pot 2 in the state of being placed on the protrusion 7.
