A free space is provided in front of an abutment section (4), and allows differently sized objects (2) to be brought into abutment. The abutment section is rotatable about an axis. The abutment section can be brought into abutment with a side of the object that lies on the outside during rotation. An Independent claim is included for a method of rotating objects on a conveyor.
