PURPOSE: A transflective LCD(liquid crystal display) is provided to maintain uniform optical efficiency and color characteristic between a reflection part and a transmission part. CONSTITUTION: A transflective LCD includes the first and second transparent insulating substrates(840,800) opposite to each other, a liquid crystal layer(815) interposed between the first and second substrates, and a reflecting plate(830) that is located between the first transparent insulating substrate and the liquid crystal layer and has a transmission part and a reflection part. The LCD further includes a reflection type color filter layer(820) located between the liquid crystal layer and the second transparent insulating substrate and formed at the position corresponding to the reflection part of the reflecting plate, a transmission type color filter layer(823) formed on the same level on which the reflection type color filter layer and located at the position corresponding to the transmission part of the reflecting plate, and a back light(850) located under the first transparent insulating substrate.
