USE OF FLY LARVAE EXTRACTS FOR THE TREATMENT OF WOUNDS

The invention relates to the topical application of fly larvae extracts obtained from fly larvae which are killed and extracted in an aqueous medium under cooling conditions or in dissolvents and freed from non-dissolved components. Different types of fly larvae extracts are suitable for the treatment of superficial or deep chronic and acute wounds of any kind. Said fly larvae extracts have a wound-healing effect and can be obtained from, for instance, the genera Sarcophaga or Lucilia.
