PURPOSE: An output control apparatus is provided to control the level of output of high voltage transformer by adjusting the size of a primary side voltage. CONSTITUTION: An output control apparatus comprises a high voltage transformer(221) arranged to generate secondary side voltages having different sizes in a power consumption range of a microwave oven; a magnetron for obtaining a high frequency output from the voltage applied to the secondary side of the high voltage transformer; a variable resistor(VR) connected to the primary side of the high voltage transformer; and a control unit for controlling level of the output of the high voltage transformer by controlling the resistance value of the variable resistor.
