An apparatus for carrying out electrophysiological measurements on cells comprising one or more electrodes, a feed tube for feeding perfusate through the cells and a drain tube for draining perfusate from them, where the electrodes are designed for insertion into the cells and are mounted together with the tubes in a measuring head and the feed tube is parallel to the electrodes and its outlet is above their bases, is new.
