PURPOSE: A base plate of a microwave oven is provided to prevent deformation of a joint portion of the base plate and a front plate caused by external impact. CONSTITUTION: A base plate(50) of a microwave oven comprises a rectangular plate body(52) constituting the bottom of the microwave oven; at least one slant part(56) obliquely extended to the front upper part from the upper end of the slant part; at least one fastening piece(58) extended forward from the upper end of the slant part and arranged in close contact with the top of a mounting flange(44) extended rearward from the lower end of a front plate(42) of the microwave oven; and at least one bead(62,64) formed to the front end of the plate body adjacent to the slant part, to reinforce strength. A stepped part(54) stepped upward is formed between the plate body and the slant part.
