<p>A carpet comprises pairs of straight wefts (12), (14), pairs of warp threads (8), (10); the thread (8) being disposed under the weft pairs (12) and over the weft pairs (14), the thread (10) being oppositely disposed; and tufts (16) each comprising a single leg passing between the weft of a pair and being separated by pairs of warp threads. The tufts (16) may be of nylon and their ends may be heat sealed, an adhesive and a backing (22) may be applied, the adhesive being applied thinly so that open pockets are provided being the backing and the fabric.</p> |
