PURPOSE: A method of making pills of fermented soybeans(chungkukjang) by fermenting soybeans, mixing with herbal plants and then making into a pill is provided. The product is eliminated in off-flavors peculiar to fermented soybeans and has excellent flavor as well as excellent physiological activity. CONSTITUTION: A soybean is soaked in water, steamed and fermented for 50 to 60hr at 40 to 45deg.C to produce fermented soybeans, which are dried for 48 to 60hr in the shade and 24hr in the light and ground. Thereafter, the fermented soybean powder is mixed with glutinous rice gruel, Atractylodis Rhizoma Alba and Lycii Radicis Cortex in a weight ratio of 7:1:1:1 and formed into a pill. |
