PURPOSE: A method for controlling a table frier is provided to prevent the damage of a heater by operating the heater only if the water level in a frying case rises to the setting water level. CONSTITUTION: A method for controlling a table frier comprises the steps of: determining whether the water level in a frying case rises to the setting water level in cooking mode(412); determining whether a start signal is inputted when the water level in the frying case rises to the setting water level(414); and measuring the present temperature of oil in the frying case(416,418), and controlling a heater(422).
