A method and unit (17) for controlling a clutch (7) powered by a hydraulic actuator (15) having a work chamber (28) connected to a solenoid valve (25); a target value (Put*) of the pressure of the fluid inside the work chamber (28) is generated, an actual value (Put) of the pressure of the fluid inside the work chamber (28) is measured, and a control signal (I*) for controlling the solenoid valve (25) is calculated using feedback control of the pressure of the fluid inside the work chamber (28); and the target value (Put*) of the pressure of the fluid is generated on the basis of an actual value (Pos) of the position of the hydraulic actuator (15), and of a target value (Pos*) of the position of the hydraulic actuator (15).
