摘要 PURPOSE: An array substrate for an in-plane switching mode LCD device is provided to newly design a gate electrode and a common electrode, and to distribute an electric field generated between the gate electrode and the common electrode as being parallel to an initial oriented direction of a liquid crystal, thereby maintaining an initial oriented state of the liquid crystal. CONSTITUTION: An array substrate(100) configures plural gate lines(112) and common lines(116) disposed in one direction as being parallel, and data lines(124) crossing the gate/common lines(112,116) and defining a pixel area(P) with the gate lines(112). A TFT(T) is configured at a crossing point between the gate lines(112) and the data lines(124). The TFT includes a gate electrode(114), an active layer(120), a source electrode(126), and a drain electrode(128). The source electrode(126) is connected to the data lines(124), and the gate electrode(114) is connected to the gate lines(112).
