PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for controlling temperature of a plasma display panel using a thermocouple and a plasma display panel having the same are provided to control easily the temperature and stabilize operations by sensing the temperature of a temperature source. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for controlling temperature of a plasma display panel using a thermocouple includes a sustain scan pulse generator, a thermocouple, a temperature sensor, and a driver. The sustain scan pulse generator(451) is used for generating a sustain pulse and a scan pulse corresponding to the external sustain discharge information and applying the sustain pulse and the scan pulse to a sustain electrode and a scan electrode. The thermocouple(452) is used for sensing the temperature of a temperature source of the sustain scan pulse generator. The temperature sensor(453) is used for outputting a control signal when the sensed temperature of the temperature source is more than the critical temperature. The driver is used for lowering the temperature of the temperature source according to the control signal. |
