The arrangement has a filling device with which the fillable shaped body (1) of the ironing machine can be repeatedly filled with a medium, especially air, and emptied. The arrangement has a measurement device for measuring at least a material property of an ironing item and/or a measurement device for measuring process conditions such as the temperature, pressure or humidity of a medium. AN Independent claim is also included for the following: (a) a method of determining the life of a fillable, shaped textile body for an ironing arrangement.
