LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE, AND METHOD FOR IMPROVING COLOR REPRODUCIBILITY THEREOF

PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display device, and a method for improving color reproducibility thereof are provided to prevent the color reproducibility from lowering in the case that gray scales of a blue color increase. CONSTITUTION: A liquid crystal panel(200) has a plurality of gate lines and a plurality of data lines crossing each other, and has red, green, and blue pixels arranged in matrix form. A gate driver(240) applies scanning signals to the gate lines. A look-up table(260) stores gray scale values of one color from a gray scale value in which lowering of color reproducibility is generated to a gray scale value of a highest level right before lowering of color reproducibility is generated. A data processor(270) compensates image data by the gray scale values of the look-up table. A data driver(250) receives the compensated image data from the data processor for applying the compensated image data to the data lines.
